and… I’m back.

I’ve been threatening to return to social media in a meaningful way (ie. with a blog) for two years. Since leaving Emma in search of, well, myself, I’ve had so many life changing events take place that if it weren’t for the pictures I have with my two amazing kids, I would hardly recognize myself in 2007. Most of those changes were difficult, but have resulted in a better, wiser me, and I’m now ready to share again.

A blog is a personal thing. To me, much more personal than a Facebook page, because it’s not cluttered with anyone else’s influence. All that you see here is driven by the author.

I do expect to focus on my professional life here, not my personal life. It’s just that my professional life WAS my personal life for the last two years, so that makes even sharing things about it quite personal. I’m now feeling really good about the things I’ve been a part of over the last two and a half years, and I look forward to sharing insights learned as well as offering my thoughts on innovation, market strategy and execution. I’ll likely focus on startups, e-commerce, social networking, healthcare, financial services, and the ever-evolving technologies that are shifting all of the aforementioned on a daily basis.  I’ll also talk about character, team building, adversity and success vs. failure.

Finally, I’m going to experiment a lot here. Trying services, mashing them up, launching ideas. I don’t intend to keep up any schedule here, but I also won’t censor myself here, so if you want the uncut… you know where I’m going to post it at.
